About Virginia L. Landry

Virginia Landry was a past President/Dean for NCDD as of July 2023-July 2024. Virginia joined NCDD in 2004 and in addition to her responsibilities on its Board of Directors, Virginia has been the past chairs the Board Certification Committee, Listserve, Diversity and Sponsorship Committees. Virginia is one of only four persons in the State of California who is Board Certified in DUI Defense Law. Virginia is a Co-Chair on the DUI Committee for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Virginia Landry also serves on the Board of Directors of the California DUI Lawyers Association since 2006. Virginia is nationally known and is a local leader in Orange County, California for effectively representing persons accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, as well as the Department of Motor Vehicles Administrative Per Se hearings for license suspensions. Conveniently located in Orange County, Virginia Landry has successfully represented thousands of clients during her 38 years of private criminal defense practice. Virginia is qualified as an Instructor by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the International Chiefs of Police (IACP) for DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. Ms. Landry also owns the portable Alcohol Sensor IV and Alco-Sensor FST breath testing devices which are used by law enforcement in Orange County for breath testing. She has received additional training on proper blood testing protocols and procedures. Ms. Landry has been a guest lecturer at Chapman University of Law, Western State University of Law, Whittier College of Law and Trinity College of Law, all in Orange County, California. Virginia has been featured in the Orange County Register, the Orange County Bulletin, Irvine World News, OC Weekly and the Los Angeles Times. Virginia Landry has been interviewed by ABC News and channels 4 and 13 in Southern California for her expert legal opinions. Ms. Landry was the featured attorney on AM830 (the voice of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Ducks) on their show Ridin' Dirty and has been interviewed live on KFI AM640, Talk Radio AM790, KABC and KUCI radio stations. Virginia Landry was named as a top attorney featured in OC Metro, Orange County Lawyer magazine, Attorneys of Distinction in the Orange Coast Magazine and Car & Driver Magazine.
