About Joshua D. Egan
Josh Egan earned his law degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law (Arizona State University) in 2012. In Arizona, Josh worked for the two largest criminal prosecution organizations in the state. As a prosecutor, he obtained criminal law experience early on in his education and career, working domestic violence, assault, theft, drug possession, and misdemeanor DUI cases out of one of the highest volume justice courts in the Phoenix area.
Josh is one of only three Board Certified in DUI Defense Law by the National College for DUI Defense in Utah.
Josh brings a former prosecutor’s perspective when preparing an aggressive defense for his clients. To this end, Josh sought training from former law enforcement. He is a graduate of NHTSA’s Impaired Driving Training and the Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement courses.
Josh is also qualified instructor of the NHTSA DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Test curriculum, and has co-instructed the course in multiple states.
He is a graduate of the NCDD's Serious Science program, exhibiting tremendous commitment to the understanding the science underlying DUI evidence.
Josh is frequently consulted during Utah's legislative session to provide prospective regarding changes to DUI law.
He is licensed to practice law in both federal and state courts in Utah and Arizona.
